OVERVIEW
An experimental short film reconstructing the ancient "Nine Colored Deer" myth through AIGC and complex 3D visual storytelling. The project constructs a post apocalyptic ecosystem defined by Dreamcore and bioluminescent aesthetics, visually exploring the proliferation of human desire, the dissolution of consciousness, and the unpredictable causality of natural laws.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
This project reinterprets the classical Nine Colored Deer myth within a speculative post human future, examining the relationship between digital life, psychological space and the consequences of human desire. Its visual language combines green futurism, Dreamcore and bioluminescent imagery to construct an alluring yet unstable digital ruin. As the environment shifts from abundance to distortion and silence, it materialises the psychological pressure of pursuing illusory wealth and gives the narrative’s moral causality a coherent spatial form.
The Nine-Colored Deer and Pale Dancer were developed through Blender studies and detailed reference sheets defining their proportions, silhouettes, materials, expressions and movement. These visual rules maintained consistent character identities across generated keyframes and animated sequences.
TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT
Scripting and storyboarding to define the chronological sequence of the film
Utilizing sketches and style reference conditioning to dictate keyframe output
Generating environmental space to stabilize the transition from stills to final animation.
